Grim-Grimm Genealogy

I’ve finally updated the database. I have not been concentrating on this family, but there is limited new information available. If you’ve been here before, you should probably recheck the person in which you’re interested to see if anything has changed.

This afternoon I’ve added a new section under the Photos page for Lough Family Photos. There were several marriages between the Lough and Grimm family, and between members of the Lough family and descendants of Col. Zackquill Morgan, one of my ancestors.

Under the Grim-Grimm Family Photos album >> Adam Grim’s section are a couple of new photos, including one of brothers Jesse and Hailman Grimm. Most exciting to me is the photo of Jesse and Phoebe Grimm in front of their home, with my great-great-great grandmother Barbara Grimm seated in the middle.

All of these photos (digital images) were given to me by Mike Thomas when we visited with him and his wife in June. They took us to Bearsville, WV and showed us where Levi and Barbara Grimm’s cabin used to be, as well as where Jesse and Phoebe Grimm’s home was, and some of the Lough family. It was a lot of fun!

Added a photo of the Borland Hotel and Opal Grimm at the Ellsworth School under Descendants of Adam Grimm; a photo of Jane Pierpoint Darnell with her son George H. Darnell and his family; a photo of the home of Rosa Darnell and her husband Charles Hamilton. Also moved the photo of Jane Pierpoint Darnell in front of her cabin to the Darnell section.

I also fixed an issue on the Locke and Darnell Family Photos page where the titles under the photo thumbnails did not appear.

I've redesigned the main site to work better on mobile devices. The Photo Albums have still not been done.

Family updates: There is new information on the family of Isaac Newton Grim and his wife, Margaret.

Added several new photos in the Grim-Grimm Family Photos section. These include John WIlliam Grimm and wife Mamie King; James Jackson Grimm and a photo of his grave; his wife, Arminnie Davis; their son Russell Boyd Grimm; Russell's wife, Opal Ardith Putnam; and Russell's and Opal's grave.

Also added two grave photos in the Fayette County Cemeteries section, that of my 5th great grandfather William Jefferies and his second wife, Martha Mendenhall.

Added the following photos today.

From my collection: updated photos of Edward Everett Grim and his wife, Emma (Locke) Grim. Added photos of Edward & Emma Grim on their houseboat, Charles Norman and Arless P. Grimm together (and deleted small, cropped, separate photos), a photo of Charles Norman Grimm with his second wife, and one of Charles Norman Grimm at his boat landing in Pittsburgh. Also added grave photos of Lillian B. (Acklin) Grimm, E. P. "Bill" Grimm and Virginia M. "Babe" Grimm.

Today's update includes photos from Lanny Grim of Francis (Grim) Pirrman's grave, along with her son William's grave. It also has two photos of Francis, along with her parents, Capt. Samuel Grim & Lydia Goodwin.

Well, the site finally has the family files updated after more than a year. I haven't had much time for genealogy, as I spent the last few years writing a book about my hometown, Fowlerville, Michigan.

I've lost track over the years about what has been updated, but I know that a lot has been added to the descendants of Andrew Jackson Grim and his wife, Nancy Good. As I've had time I've added census records, vital records from West Virginia, and have started to go through the Pennsylvania Marriage Records that are newly available on FamilySearch.org.

Enjoy! Hopefully in the next week or so I'll get the photo pages updated. I know I have several to add.

Once again I've updated the genealogy files. More on Earseman Grim and his family, as well as corrections/additions on Nizzie Grim and her family. Probably the biggest additions are to my Acklin line. There is much more here, both on descendants in the Acklin line, as well as the ancestry of Martha Jane Simpson (wife of Joseph Kelley) on her mother's side.
