The Walter Curley was a diesel towboat with steel hull and twin props built at Neville Island, PA by Dravo in 1962. She was 148 x 35 x 8.5 and was powered by GM 16-567C diesels with a total output of 3200 hp. She had kort nozzles. Originally named Mary B, she was owned by Texmar, Inc. She was sold in 1965 to Thomas Petroleum Transit, Inc., Butler, PA, who changed the name in 1966.
Dad piloted the Walter Curley from late 1971 through at least early 1973 when he was working for Thomas Petroleum.
