Originally named the Virginia Z., built in Pittsburgh in 1957 by Zubik Towing Co. The hull is the after section of the former Corps of Engineers towboat Tennessee (built 1930). It was 90 x 30 x 6.5, a twin prop powered by Cooper-Bessemer diesels with a total of 700 hp. It was later owned by my uncle, Charles N. Grimm, Jr. Uncle Chuck had it rebuilt and renamed Pittsburgh by late 1972.
